About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Team Leader or Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a well-established care facility located in Clowne Chesterfield

This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work full-time hours.

Senior Care Assistant Duties:

  • Assist residents with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and medication administration.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, ensuring their well-being and promoting a positive living environment.
  • Supervise and support the care team, providing guidance and ensuring quality care is delivered.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' care plans, observations, and any significant incidents.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of social and recreational activities for residents.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of residents' living areas, following health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and external agencies to provide holistic care to residents.

Senior Care Assistant Qualifications:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of administering medication.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and experience in implementing safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations in a care setting.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a Care Team Leader or Senior Care Assistant in a Care Home is important.
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and dignity in care practises.
  • Experience in administering medication and recording accurate records.
  • Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by elderly residents.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.
  • Strong observational and reporting skills.
